In the field of transport of liquids, food and non-food, the use of ISOTANK is increasingly taking hold, designed for intercontinental transport alongside normal containers and handled and stored in the same way.

The TANK ISO (acronym for International Organization for Standardization) is a metal parallelepiped whose measures were established internationally in 1967. In the face of a common width of 8 feet (244 cm) and a common height of 8 feet and 6 inches (259 cm), they are popular in two standard lengths of 20 and 40 feet (610 and 1220 cm). Each container is normally numbered and registered with eleven alphanumeric characters, in the form: 4 letters (of which the first 3 correspond to the initials of the owner company) and 6 numbers, followed by a final control number (called “check-digit”) , which is obtained with a special calculation algorithm on the 10 previous letters or digits, for this purpose for each letter corresponds a conventional numerical value.

The big problem of ISOTANK transport is the loss of temperature of the loaded product, which often presents itself at destination, congealed and in the impossibility of being unloaded, with the consequent inconveniences and delays. At this point, the heating systems enter into the merits, designed to bring the product back to its original temperature and allow it to be discharged.

OMZ srl, world leader for tank washing systems, has understood the importance of this request and has refined systems of various power, in relation to specific requests, aimed precisely at heating the ISOTANK, thus making it possible for customers the most efficient and safe solution for the delivery of their products.

Heating can take place with three different solutions: electric, water and steam. Of these three solutions, OMZ srl offers water and steam solutions.

For steam heaters, complete boiler and softener solutions are used. Outside the container, the stainless steel service manifolds will be made, one for the steam to be introduced into the tank circuits and one for the recovery of condensate.

All the heating stations will have an electrical panel, set up with a Touch Screen panel, from which it will be possible, for each station, to determine:

  • The temperature to which the product should be brought
  • Select the seat to use
  • View product temperature status in real time

Furthermore, the system allows:

  • Detection of the time taken to bring the product to temperature
  • The possibility of extrapolating a document that demonstrates the phases and times used, for each single station
  • Being able to view the status of the station in real time from the telephone or remote terminal
  • In the event of an anomaly, send a series of telephone calls to preset numbers
  • At the end of heating, send an e-mail to the customer informing that the tank is ready for collection

A stainless steel line, parallel to that of the steam, will allow the condensate to be collected and sent to the tank, or rather, to feed the boiler.

The second solution that OMZ proposes are controlled temperature hot water heating systems, which are used for certain products, to which the high temperatures of the steam could cause damage or even become dangerous for the operation.

These systems always use steam as an energy source, which, specifically, feeds the primary circuit of a heat exchanger. We remind our customers that OMZ srl systems are completely customizable based on their needs. All our systems are certified, remotely assisted and in tune with safety standards, as well as being certified, according to the 4.0 guideline.

Our technical-commercial office is available for all your requests and needs.
